The only thing you can try and control is the weight gain from drinking alcohol. I won’t go into detail about what not to drink, but BEER will screw you over that’s for sure.
If you’re a sweet wine/champagne lover then you’re almost out of luck because wine is made from grapes and all fruits naturally have a sugar. When the grape is fermented not all the sugar will be converted to alcohol, so there will be residual sugar.
